I always despised that moniker, don't call me kid unless you're old enough to be me father !

I think it depends, if friends call each other kid or guy it's fine.

But I used to work with this guy years ago who was too big of an Ass to learn people's names, he often mixed people's name up and would cal Eric..Greg and vice versa.

He Also used the "guy", "Sport" and "Chief" a lot. A real Ass.

by the way, I heard a fellow call another fellow he didn't know "Scooter" at a bar once. That didn't go over well. I don't believe it was meant to go over well.

It went like this:

"Hey Scooter, we're waiting on that table. Are you guys going to finish or just play with your sticks all night?"

It went south after that and ended up a large, large fight...everyone was fighting...in the streets of Stillwater, Oklahoma that stopped traffic and brought the police. What a night. tulsa
